Common applications include depositing decorative and protective layers on watches, jewelry, and consumer electronics. In the tooling industry, PVD coatings like titanium nitride drastically extend the lifespan of cutting tools. Advanced applications involve optical coatings for lenses and functional layers for semiconductors. The resulting films are extremely thin, dense, and exhibit excellent adhesion, making PVD a critical technology in modern manufacturing and high-performance engineering.
